Linda Rae Sande

Biography

A self-described nerd and lover of science, Linda Rae spent many years as a published technical writer specializing in 3D graphics workstations, software and 3D animation (her movie credits include SHREK and SHREK 2). An interest in genealogy led to years of research on the Regency era and a desire to write fiction based in that time.

Now running the front office of a busy print shop, she’s developed an appreciation for pretty papers and spends time using them in her scrapbooks. She can frequently be found at the local cinema enjoying the latest movie. During the winter, she watches the Yellowstone Quake play junior hockey, and an indeterminate number of tropical fish live with her year-round. She makes her home in Cody, Wyoming.

Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The sense of accomplishment! Spending hours in front of a computer can be very unproductive – Facebook, Pinterest, blogs – but using some of that time to create a story means I have something to show for it. Life is short, and I don't want to look back and think that I wasted a good deal of it in cyberspace. When someone is entertained by my stories, all the better.
What do your fans mean to you?
An ego boost! Seriously, I so appreciate the feedback I get from my readers – good and bad – because it means they're reading and relating to my stories. And I love meeting them at conventions and book fairs and hearing about which characters are their favorite (and not so favorite).
