Linda Y. Atkins

Biography

Linda started writing in 2000 after defending a young woman accused of killing three of her own family members. It was the first time she had been introduced to eastern Kentucky justice and the lessons she learned were profound; the events of that representation career-changing. Writing became a cathartic exercise. And she didn’t stop.

Linda has been a prosecutor in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, working her way up through the ranks to become the Director and Chief Prosecutor of the county’s first domestic violence unit.

Married with two children (and two cats) she now practices law with her husband, concentrating in medical malpractice claims. And, of course, uses her extensive knowledge of the law to write thrilling suspense novels.
