Biography

I am a Second Grade Gifted teacher in Palm Beach County, Florida and new mom on maternity leave. I have been teaching for five years and always look for books that would bring a literary element to my lessons whether the content area be Language Arts, Math, Science or Social Studies. One search for a book, to help me teach "fact families" a concept in our Math text, turned out unsuccessful. So, I wrote one, to help me teach the lesson and my students understand the concept better. After sharing this story with other teachers I got a lot of positive feedback. This made me realize how much I enjoyed writing stories for classroom educational purposes and I continued. I hope Smashwords.com will aide me in getting these works out to other classroom teachers! **(search my name on teachers.net for lesson plans that go with my stories)
