Lisa J. Davis has formally served in church ministry work since 2009 but has been involved with speaking and Bible teaching for much longer. She held her first women's conference, Diamonds in the Rough, in December of 2008, encouraging women to move "From Soot to Shine." Prior to this, Lisa taught adult Sunday school as well as worked alongside others in teaching youth church services. Lisa has been a frequent teacher for midweek Bible study and has been a requested speaker for prayer breakfast worship and women's retreats. She currently works in education, in which she has served families in both public and private school settings for over eleven years. She resides in Texas with her husband, Michael, and their two daughters.
