‘Honour thy Mother and Father’ written by Glenn Griffiths was a highly interesting introspection of what it is like to be sucked into a greedy and controlling cult. I bonded with this book straight away in a way that it was almost as if I was reliving a past event of when I had dealings with various cults and religious organizations. While this book has a serious nature in content, there were parts of it that just made me laugh and loosen up and enjoy the ingeniously creative language. I found the book fascinating, intoxicatingly suggestive and I can’t help but know for certain that the author must have had a background or an experience with a cult or cults which gave the book an authentic vibe. Having an academic background in ‘Religious Studies’ it opened my eyes to some new concepts of what cults get up to and left me with a sense of sadness to what victims of cult abuse must suffer. I really enjoyed the book ‘Honour thy Mother and Father’, and hope the author continues to reveal more about the secrets of cults and secret organizations.
