In the prologue of Letters to a Hooker, a prostitute's idea is explained. After the prologue, the rest of the book is this idea: The prostitute asks anyone who sees her a simple favour. She asks for them to write her a letter, about anything they want. Every page, every chapter, is one of these letters.
