Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first books I remember reading over and over again was The Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I was slow to read, being a dyslexic, but when I was finally able to read through them, it was freeing. I read my copies until they fell apart. I just loved that she wrote her story herself and that life could be such an adventure. That was when I knew I wanted to be a writer.
When did you first start writing?
My first novel effort was 6th grade. My friends and I wrote ridiculous stories that were fun and crazy. I wrote all the time through Middle School and High School. Writing took a back seat in College when I focused on reading Literature and understand Language. After College, I went right back. I wrote a lot of crap before I found my voice and now that I have found it, I can't wait to share it with the world.
