I recently read Promise of
Magic:The other Side of the Mirror.Im new to
reading fantasy type novels, and let me say that
if all the tales of war, witchery, magic, and God
were as good as this, i'd be reading a lot more.
Hicks pro efficiently jumps between styles of
dialect ranging from 1500 years ago to today. He
expertly includes many amazing characters,
starting with PJ. Wow! I love this girl. She's
funny, brave, grown up, and so man y more admiral
things. Then there's King Author, Merlin,Snow
White, Fairies, and elves too! Cant wait to read
the other books In this series. I recommend it to
all younger and older adults alike! This book gave
magic a new meaning for me. A definite re-read!

Having previously read a Wayne Hicks novel, I was excited to read this one. And with good reason.Magic Trixie and the Crystal Witch did not disappoint! Once again, Hicks expertly created an amazing tale with all the great mythical creatures we love. Ogres and elves team up with magicians and men to take back a kingdom that was stolen from then when the current queen murdered her sister, the well loved Princess Janessa.Only Trixie can defeat her. It was captivating from the very first paragraph to the very end. I think at one point I even cried. One day read! A must read for all fantasy lovers!
Dream Student

So, Im new to this genre, and Im not sure what you would call it! Is it romance? Yes! Is it paranormal? This poor pre-med student is able to look into other peoples dreams! So yes, its a bit paranormal! Is it a thriller? Absolutely, this same girl starts glimpsing the dreams of a killer! And to make matters worst, girls shes seen in her dreams have turned up dead! Her, her boyfriend, and her best friend/ room mate plot to stop the murders in this heart stopping tale! I was captured from beginning to end! I loved this book! I felt like I was right there every page I turned. It was written so that romance readers, crime lovers, thrill seekers, and even mature students can read, relate and love it alike! The end was flawless. It wrapped up the whole book, left me asking questions, but wasn’t done in a way that left me mad about a cliffhanger! Cant wait to read the next book in this series!
