Mix a gritty desert war setting with a dash of Lewis Carroll and you get this harrowing take on soldiers confronting a danger literally beyond their imaginations. The suspense is real, the details grisly, and the story simultaneously fascinating and repulsive. Think of the worst thing that could happen to someone. This is worse than that.
