During his career in technology-marketing, Larry Thomas spent countless hours writing technical documentation, user manuals, and product literature. "Boring and mundane!" are his words when asked about that part of his professional experience. He also taught hundreds of product seminars throughout his career.
Now retired, he spends his time doing what he loves - writing sci-fi fantasy. "Technology and teaching are in my genes so it's only natural that I include both in my books." Mr. Thomas gets up every morning with a smile knowing he will soon be at his desk writing Science Fiction, Fantasy novels.
Technology is changing at light speed. Scientists are making new discoveries every day. "When I look at a new project, I first consider the scientific implications. What is real? What is imagined? Can any of this become reality in the future? I then look for one or more twists that can make the story inviting."
Science fiction and fantasy are both high on his list of book and movie genres. "I think both JK Rowling and Christopher Paolini had a significant influence on my desire to write in this genre. I am an avid Clancy and Brown fan as well. To me, writing a book that inspires a person to read is the best compliment a writer can receive. If my books elicit a smile from the reader and a thought that something like this could really happen, I've achieved my goal"
