Mark Whitney

Biography

I was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. I discovered science fiction at a very early age when one of my cousins turned me on to the old TV show, Fireball XL5. I have been hooked ever since. Science fiction and later, fantasy, books and movies have been a large part of my life. I love writing and hope that you find some enjoyment in reading my work.

The sequel to Oracles, "Vampires of Aragret" is coming along nicely. I have developed all of the major characters and have outlined about 80% of the story. Nigel, Colleen, and Merrick are back for more action, fighting on opposite sides of a war between a fanatical church and deadly, powerful vampires. The story is set in the capital city of Aragret, Whitehall, seat of the Grand Duke’s power. Look for action, romance, and adventure set against a world driven by coal, steam, and passion.
