  • Traitor, Book 1 of The Turner Chronicles on June 28, 2012

That was the fastest-seeming 967 page book ever. I loved it. It's sci-fi meets pioneer days with a twist of fantasy, and he did an excellent job combining the best of all things. The characters are flawed and wonderful and fascinating, and he evokes vivid imagery without being wordy or overly descriptive. I can't believe this book was free, to be honest - I downloaded it from Barnes & Noble and I've already purchased the second one. Really well done. And, for some reason I cannot identify, it reminds me of Joss Whedon's work, particularly Firefly.
  • Blood Moon (Cat Clan) on Dec. 02, 2012

This is the fourth paranormal fantasy book I've read by Bevill, and I am getting more addicted with each one. This story involves the Cat Clan and packs action, suspense, and romance neatly into a short novella. I look forward to reading more of her work!

Another stellar story from Charles de Lint - like many of his, this mixes old world and new world myths. Highly recommend for fans of urban fantasy, as well as people looking to check out something a little new and different.
  • Odin's Gift on April 27, 2017

This is a delightful little story that gives the reader a solid foundation for imagining the rest of the world contained here. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to reading more of her work.
