Marta Szabo


Biography

Marta Szabo has been a writer and editor all her life. She was an editor in mass-market paperbacks then in magazines, interspersing these early careers with a serious pursuit of yoga and meditation. She lived in an ashram – a yogic monastery -- for over ten years, spending a year and a half in India.

Since leaving the ashram in 2000, Marta has pursued her own art, picking up an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College and completing two book-length memoirs as well as hundreds of short pieces. She is much sought after as a skilled and sensitive editor.
