Biography

Mary Zinda has been studying and practicing her craft for over a decade by attending conferences, critique groups, and writing classes. She has learned many valuable lessons from other talented writers and finally feels her novels are ready to see the light of day. Mary has proudly joined the ranks of indie author with the release of her first published eBook, Lark of Yesteryear, for children ages 10-15.
Born and raised in the Badger State, Mary loves to hike its beautiful trails and camp in its scenic state parks with her husband, three sons, dog, and cat (yes, the cat loves to camp!) Mary loves all things old, run-down, and haunted and admits that several nights a week she can be found watching paranormal TV shows and movies in the dark. She has never met a real ghost, but she hopes to one day. In the meantime, Mary writes from her ghost-free home in the beautiful Kettle Moraine region of Wisconsin.

When their home becomes part of a living history museum, Lark is discovered by a teen-aged tourist who sets her on a course to uncover her long-forgotten past.
