Matthew was born in Sydney, New South Wales in 1970. He has moved through various trades, from graphic reproduction to carpentry. His hobbies over the years have included cycling, rock climbing, scuba diving - oh yes, and writing. His favourite genre to read and write is hard science fiction, although a recent fascination with history has been interesting. He lives in Brisbane with his wife, Robyn, and their cat, Maximum.
