Maulik Sompura

Since childhood I have been fortunate to have encountered many stories, be it from my granny, mythological reads, or films. In fact, the whole of my mom's extended family read international novels and watched good movies, so I was exposed to that at a very young age—and my dad is also an ardent reader and a writer who never pursued his writing career due to economic hardships. I myself slowly became attracted to writing in my school days when my essays—both in English and my native language—were shown to the class. Later, I wrote film reviews in English in my circle of friends and always received rave reviews about my writing. My entire life the people around me have always found me to be imaginative, passionate, and someone with good writing skills. All of these combined with a burning desire to write my own story compelled me to finally turn my love for writing and my words into a novel.
