I don't read many anthologies. I prefer to get into a book and get to know the characters, and the short story format is usually not long enough to develop a good story. I was very pleasantly surprised that Ms. Baylee was able to present her characters so well in such short pieces. I got enough history on the characters to make me care about them, and they were all very different. Her style is very to the point without too much boring backstory and they move along at a fast pace. I look forward to reading more of her books.
