Matthew is a Veteran of the Iraq War, having served in the Army for 5 years as a Combat Medic. He deployed in 2006, where he earned the Combat Medical Badge and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for combat actions.
Matthew and his wife Stephanie live in Northern Michigan.
