Mendicant Bookworks is proud to present literary short fiction from a stable of brilliant, established small press writers. These unplucked gems have collectively spent decades publishing at the margins in a small press world that is, only now, reaching a wider international audience.

The stories themselves are both human and approachable -- stories that run the gamut: sometimes funny, sometimes dark, always well-rendered with casts of hard-scrabble misfits, dreamers, and madmen.
