Biography

Michelle Y. Talbert is an author of books on relationships and dating. She co-authored "Don't Do What We Did! A Conversation About Online Dating With an Ex-Not-Quite-Couple Who Met on the Internet," scheduled to debut September 18, 2011. "Don't Do What We Did!" provides a he said/she said, tongue-in-cheek perspective on what works and does not work when online dating. Using stories from their own relationship, and the experiences of others who they interviewed for the book, Michelle and Ricardo Kingsbury seek to entertain their readers while providing helpful guidance to the wide world of online dating.

As a single mom of two elementary school-aged children, Michelle graduated with her undergraduate degree from Cornell University at the age of 30 and went on to receive her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania at 33. Michelle has been married twice and is currently separated from her second husband. She practices corporate and higher education law in Washington, DC, where she dates and lives with her children, when they are home from college and other life activities. Michelle is writing her first novel, "Divorce Party."
