  • Fighting the Devil- A True Story of Consuming Passion, Deadly Poison, and Murder on June 19, 2012

I could not put this book down once I started reading it. It is a inspirational true story. I admire the author's honesty and truth, and the courage to share this true story with the world. I highly recommend this book. Jeannie Walker kept my attention and I could feel that she wrote this book from the heart....and I believe that takes a very good writer. This true crime story records human shortcomings and the whole gambit of human motivations and passions--love and hate, greed and selflessness, good and evil. The author tells the story in her own way, her own style, while sharing her religious journey from spiritual darkness into the light. Regardless of whether or not you share her viewpoint about good and evil, God and the devil, I believe every reader will readily join this author as this story unfolds, waiting until the very last page to see if justice prevails. It is a Keeper!

This is a very special children's book. I highly recommend it to all parents who are looking for a way to talk to their children and show them how important love and prayer is. It is a delightful story about the loving relationship of a family and their faith. I loved the touching illustrations throughout the book and the quotes that the author put at the beginning of each chapter. It is a great story for adults and children.
  • I Saw the Light on June 21, 2012

This is the third book I have read by this author. Her writing style is impeccable and her stories make me feel like I am there with her. I Saw the Light is about the author's own personal near-death experience. It also tells the story of her father-in-law who suffers from cancer and dies. He returns back to earth for 3 days in the form of a bird to ease the suffering of his wife of 50 years. What an emotional and loving story. I enjoyed reading it very much. I have a different opinion of death and the hereafter and hope I am as brave as the author's father-in-law when I die. Thank you Ms Jeannie Walker for sharing your story with us.
  • Thomas, The Friendly Ghost on June 29, 2012

What an amazing book - had me wondering if I had any friends in the form of a ghost that might be hanging around. While reading the book I suddenly heard a thud - but when I investigated I couldn't figure out what made the thud sound. Maybe one of the author's ghosts visited me while I was reading her book. I am now aware that ghosts are all around us. Want to thank the author for her amazing story and highly recommend this book as fine reading to all.
