Angela K Roe

Biography

I am a romance novelist, a freelance writer, a freelance photographer and an editor for Echelon Press. I have many online articles published on topics as diverse as home improvement, ballroom dancing, fitness, marketing and research, computer programs and business associations. I provide SEO copy to industry-leading Web content providers.

I am happily married to my best friend. We share five children, seven grandchildren, a dog and a fish. We also share a crazy rollercoaster of a life and we depend on each other to make through the laughter and the tears.

I think in words. I am amazed at how many ways we use 26 letters to create so many unique stories and I love being a part of that process. I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. When I was very little, I made up stories in my head and told them to anyone who would listen. As a teen, I voiced all my teen angst in hand-written notebooks, pouring out such horrible writing, it's a wonder the paper itself didn't protest. As I grew older, I joined a writers group that was instrumental in teaching me the fundamentals of crafting a story and developing it into something more than a vague idea.

I am blessed to be able to earn a living writing both non-fiction and fiction and I count those blessings every day! My hope for you is that you too, can do something you love every day.

Smashwords book reviews by Angela K Roe

  • Too Fast For Love on March 13, 2011

What happens when a talented photographer is assigned to photograph a famous race car driver? The answer is sparks ignite and motors are running and it has nothing to do with the racetrack. Cheyenne Knight and Thatcher Kane go from a crazy first encounter to sliding past the finish line in a delightful read. Kudo's to Karen L Syed for an enchanting story filled with more curves than any NASCAR track can offer.

This story grips you from the opening sentence when Nicholas Benteen discovers Hannah Cassidy encroaching on his private estate. While Nicholas fits all the criteria of the dark and brooding hero, he's also deeply flawed and well aware of it. Hannah is more innocent but not ignorant and this teacher from St. Louis is soon instructing our wounded hero on the lessons of living, family and love. Laura Taylor has crafted a terrific story that kept me turning the pages from start to finish, a rare experience for me. Giving this book a 5 star review is my pleasure. Read this book for yourself and you'll understand why.
  • A View to a Kilt on Sep. 28, 2011

Chris Redding writes a murder mystery filled with twists and turns designed to keep you on the edge of your seat, regardless of whether you're wearing a kilt or not. Political interference, a fiesty and funny heroine and cops with their own agendas all make this story a fast and fun ride. I enjoyed the book and will not hesitate to read this author again.
