Biography

Nelson Pahl is a multi-award winning, socially-relevant writer, author of five titles to date (January 2011).

After a career as an FIS World Cup Freestyle Ski Tour competitor then earning a B.A. in Creative Writing then several years working in the fine art industry, Nelson entered the literature realm, publishing his first work in 2000, an expose on expatriate life.

His first fiction work, Bee Balms & Burgundy—a story of love and breast cancer—was published in February 2005 on the Café Reverie Press imprint, in hardcover. Noted for his rich descriptive writing, witty narrative, and engrossing dialog, Nelson's garnered four literary awards for the book to date.

In 2007, Nelson released his sophomore effort, Two for Tuesday, a tragedy that tackled the oft-ignored topic of school shootings. The work was a Next Generation Indie Book Award Finalist.

With his third title—2009’s Fathom Forest—Nelson again hopped genres, this time penning a thriller that confronted the subject of rape.

And now, in the year 2011, Nelson has cranked up the work effort and is schedule to release two titles: the Hawthorne Citation-winning tragedy, Imagine Me, as well as a children’s fantasy fiction piece entitled The Gnomes, under the pseudonym N.P. Swan.

In all, Nelson's received eight literary awards and counting, and with his 2011 line up, he’s in a position to add more.
