I wanted to write about something that was personal to me, so when I realized that I had yet to read a story about gypsies, I thought it would be an interesting idea and started working on it. Black Lilies is a result of my own gypsy soul and wishful thinking in my own life. I hope everyone enjoys the story and is looking forward to the second book in the series, as much as I am. =)
The story is about an old gyspy tale, about a young man who was passing through a gyspy village during a celebration. The gyspies, being peaceful people, invited the stranger to stay and join in the celebration; he accepted. The young man left the following morning but returned a few days later with demands that the gypsies refused to meet. So, as the story goes, he unleashed the fury of the dead upon them, revealing he was a necromancer. He cursed the people of the village, saying that for eternity they would be followed by the dead until they finally gave into his demands. This is why, according to the tale, that gypsies are now known as nomadic people. Traveling from place to place, forced to change locations when the curse of the dead has found them again.
Enjoy Black Lilies, it takes old tale and gives it a new twist.
