Julia Averbeck

Biography

I love to read and I also love to write when I get this feeling to put my thoughts and emotions into words.
Writing is a hobby for me and I guess it will probably remain this way. Most of the time I write short stories but maybe I have enough ideas someday to write a real novel.
I normally write my stuff in German but I started to write in English more often lately. So I hope you excuse grammar mistakes I make and tell me when you have found one.

  • Bob Moore: No Hero on June 26, 2011
    star star star star
I really liked this book. The story with a "normal" PI in a world of superheroes was great and very well written.
  • I Witch: The Powers of the Blood and the Heart on July 20, 2011
    star star star
The book is not bad but it is a bit confusing sometimes. It is definitely another way to tell a story but I think it can be improved.
  • Resurrection on Aug. 23, 2011
    star star star star
A really great story and I loved the characters. The question marks in the sentences were a bit disturbing.
  • The Writer on Aug. 24, 2011

Great book. The characters and plot were well written. I really enjoyed reading it.
  • The Vampire Across the Hall on Aug. 25, 2011

I really liked the first part of this series. Nice read for inbetween.
  • The Vampire Across the Hall-2. The Murmuring Lift on Aug. 30, 2011

I liked the first a bit more but it was a nice read.
  • The Vampire Across the Hall-3. The Exchange on Aug. 30, 2011

Great. I want to read more about Madden and Daisi. Can't wait.
  • The Mating (Law of the Lycans) on Nov. 05, 2011
    star star star star
I really liked this book. Sometimes I just wanted to shake some of the characters because it was so obvious that the "bad guys" had planned something and they just didn't see but I guess that's normal. I'm reading the second book right now.
  • The Keeping on Nov. 13, 2011
    star star star star
I really liked the second part of this series too but I sometimes thought the parts with Kane and the rest of the pack were a bit distracting. First I thought the guy who was looking for Kane could be his or Melody's father or something like that.
  • The Finding on Nov. 27, 2011
    star star star star
I really enjoyed this book and I think the transitions between the different character viewpionts were smoother than in th last book. I am looking forward to read more.
  • Daughter of Time: A Time Travel Romance (The After Cilmeri Series) on Feb. 23, 2012
    star star star star
A great book even without a happy ending. The characters are well written and I liked the time travelling element in it.
  • The Unfinished Song: Initiate on May 29, 2012
    star star star star
The book really feels like a fairytale and it was fun to read it. Sometimes it's a bit hard to read because of the different viewpoints but when you know who the characters are, it gets easier. A great first part of the series.
