The story flowed and had a clever Entangled twist, an ideal title for a book and a great read.

Romance winds its way through a Californian winery in this the second Fredrickson Winery novel. Margaret Parker is a single mother. She became pregnant at the tender age of 16, and the father, a wealthy Italian abandoned her.
She became the head winemaker and her life was comfortable. Until she was contacted by the father of her child, and news of her father’s unexpected release from prison. From that moment her life was in turmoil. Her emotions were pulled from every angle.
The abduction of her son, the gathering in of a precious grape crop and shocking secrets all threaten to bring her to her knees. But the ever resilient Margaret, battles on and deals with all that is thrown her way.
Author Barbara Ellen Brink has captured yet again the pulling together of the wine community, and given us a storyline full of intrigue and family life. Of adventure and action. Of romance and loyal devotion.

Kieran has a past. A history as yet unbeknown to him. He is the adopted son of a local smithy and his wife. They know his secret and vowed to protect him. Their promise was when he twenty one years old they were to give him a letter and a wooden scabbard. They were from his biological father; King Arathor.
The past is not something Kieran wanted to hear about. He becomes angry with the world around him. Nightmares invade his sleep.
The young, single women in the village want him for a husband. But Kieran is not interested. All his life he had kept memories of a young girl from his childhood. He wants to find her again. However, he is not aware she holds the key to his future and it is a complicated one.
The story is of a young man’s quest to find himself. To overcome battles of the emotional and physical. Each failure leads to a success.
It is also the story of a young woman, Jessara. The two are thrown together in a fight to survive.
Michelle Gregory has written an fantasy adventure with mystery, fear and romance interwoven. It is a most enjoyable read.
- Ellen's Tale - first of the Sefuty Chronicles
on March 29, 2011
Ellen was brought up inside a clinical world. A city constructed of rigid rules and cubed blocks of food sustenance. Genetic engineering and conflicts of war divides the world her dying grandmother knew, and the one Ellen knows. A last request from her ‘Gran’, leads Ellen on a journey into the unknown.
Bix, a genetically engineered male takes her to the Outside. Across the Sefuty Line. To another world. Here, she learns the way of the world as her grandmother had known it before she entered The City. Livestock and fresh food preparation, daily rituals that shocked and intrigued her, challenged her inquisitive mind. Learning the horrors she had been told existed; existed for a purpose. A way of life; a survival process. Gradually Ellen tasted, quite literally, a new life. She adjusted to their ways. Still she found it hard to accept a smile or an embrace.
In one week, Bix and she learned about love and life together. Then came the time to part. For Ellen to return to the rigid life she now questioned. Would the Elders be able to rid her of her memories? Would the love she and Bix found, survive?
Author Alberta Ross captures the viewpoints of each main character in a unique way. Every chapter is a sound recording, transcribed of the person’s opinion of each other. It is also their interpretation of the same event.
Move forward several years and we come across two new characters. One an Archivist and the other a researcher. They have found the transcripts of Ellen’s life. She becomes a history project within a story. Through their correspondence we learn more and more about genetic mutation, Ellen’s past secrets and the conflicts that come about through her solid determination. We also follow the build up to a new love story developed through the correspondence of Maia and Ris.
It is so hard to explain this cleverly crafted, several stories in one, novel. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Storyteller's Tale is the second in the series.
I look forward to reading more about the life of Ellen and Bix.
