Nathan Joshua Burns was born in Cardiff, Wales, the second of three children. Having moved to Wales from England earlier in life, his family relocated back to England when Nathan was two years old. Nathan attended Highwood Primary School, a small state school of (at the time) only sixty children. He then studied at King Edward VI Grammar School in Chelmsford, moving on to Shenfield High School for sixth form. After sixth form Nathan studied Philosophy at Roehampton University.
Nathan published his first novel 'Moment of Kairos', a sci-fi/fantasy adventure novel, in February 2012. Moment of Kairos is the first of a series of books, with the second, Arcanus: The Hidden City, published August 2012.
