I finished my debut historical fiction novel, Snake Walkers in 2005. The novel placed first for fiction in four literary contests and was honored by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. It also won the Bronze award in the Fiction-General category of ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Awards and received five star ratings in both Amazon and Barnes and Nobels websites.
I am Vietnam veteran and a former Army officer. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science Degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University. I was awarded the title of distinguished alumni at both schools. I am single, live in Shaker Heights, Ohio and am working on my next book of short stories, The Last Time I Saw Willie .

Snake Walkers tells of the first black reporter at a southern newspaper, who traumatized as a child after witnessing a tragic event in the 1950s, attempts to solve the mysterious abandonment of a small town and the disappearance of fourteen townspeople while seeking his own salvation.
