I am the author of North Star of Herschel Island: last Canadian Arctic fur trading ship and have also published over two hundred articles in dozens of magazines worldwide.
I am currently completing two new book projects.
My art is held in collections all over North America.
As a sailor I have logged over 80,000 nautical miles. My family and I live aboard an old wooden sailing ship.
This was my first experience reading Amish romance and I was very happy to have a peek into this world. The trilogy is fast-paced and there are good character developments as we get to meet three sisters and see what choices they make with their lives and whether they stay with the Amish culture or move to the evil big city.
I must say that I was a bit surprised at how randy the young ladies came off as. The sight of their suitors certainly made their hearts beat a little faster!
All in all, aside from some typos and repetition I found this to be a good introduction to the Amish romance genre.
An enjoyable and humorous quick read about what happens when two cultures clash while hopes and dreams are dashed and then brought back to life. Interesting characters that develop quickly as the book progresses.
