This was a fun book to read. I am from Brooklyn and was an infant at the time the story takes place. The author did make some errors in the details pertaining to Brooklyn. Nevertheless, I found the book to be an entertaining read.

I wound up enjoying this page turner and I look forward to reading more from Anthony Roberts. It is a coming of age story set in the turmoil of revolutionary Iran. It's also a book of survival and healing. I would recommend another book written by the Dutch-Iranian author Kader Abdolah "The House of The Mosque" which is a novel set in the same period.
