Echo Island ( The Mirror Warriors #2) by Tempest C. Avery was packed full of supernatural beings in sets of two partners. They had their reasons for battling each other, but pulled together to stop a mystery that was ripping their partners apart. Cassandra , the lead in my eyes, was a 700 year old vampire with a huge heart( at he end). She was a different person at the end of the story from when she first entered the pages of the book ( not so big hearted then). I fell in love with the different characters and what they were all about within their species of the supernatural. This is a little slow in the beginning, but not the kind of slow that you want to put it done or stop reading it. No, this is not a book to be bookmarked and placed on a shelf for a later attempt. About 25 or 30% into the book I was on the island with them. I was feeling strong emotions about the plot that was twisting and turning at every page. I now must read the rest of her books! Her style of writing is flowing, seamless, and mysterious. It's romantic, scary, sad, and happy; all rolled into one complete outstanding novel. Please read if you are interested in fantasy and or vampires or werewolves etc. ( thereare all kinds of supernaturals of extreme interest in this book). All I can say, in one word, is POWERFUL! A powerful, outstanding read! Thank you Tempest for the true honor of reading and reviewing your novel. I hope to review more! As always with my reviews, I apologize for any missed typos. I wish I was a writing professional, but I am sadly not.... :)

Fantasy meets Shakespeare! I very much enjoyed this book. I quickly fell in love with the characters as they grew into their own. Some grew more greedy, some more wise, and some more confident. This story has all sorts of creatures big and mostly small! I believe anyone can enjoy it without even knowing that it is a parody on Shakespeare. I personally fell in love with Poulet who was a follower but ended as a leader. There are too many characters to comment on without giving away any spoilers. Read it and enjoy !

I am normally a person who will stop reading if you do not have me in the first chapter. This book has changed my mind. I now will continue to push forward and give authors the chance they deserve to allow me to experience an original exciting story. I was given this book from Tempest C. Avery to read for an honest review. This book is about a long war of good and evil. It has dragons, demons, witches, shape shifters, and much more! It is a journey full of surprises and suspense. The story is very original and excellent for all fantasy lovers. I would have given 5 stars if the first chapter was different, but I think she did a great job of it after you continue reading. It is full of very descriptive information about the main characters and how they got to the point they are in time and were they are heading...a lot to absorb, but needed information. I just can't imagine how she could have written it anymore clearly. I highly recommend that you read this book. The descriptions of the surroundings, characters , and their emotions have you living in a far away land following these four main characters on their journey. I was happy, sad, excited...and more as I lived within the pages of this book. Thank you Tempest C Avery for the honor of reading this story.

Loved it. It was a page turner. I read this quite a bit ago but realized I left a review elsewhere and not here. It is action packed and I hope to read more of this series!
