  • Echo Island on Oct. 07, 2012

Echo Island ( The Mirror Warriors #2) by Tempest C. Avery was packed full of supernatural beings in sets of two partners. They had their reasons for battling each other, but pulled together to stop a mystery that was ripping their partners apart. Cassandra , the lead in my eyes, was a 700 year old vampire with a huge heart( at he end). She was a different person at the end of the story from when she first entered the pages of the book ( not so big hearted then). I fell in love with the different characters and what they were all about within their species of the supernatural. This is a little slow in the beginning, but not the kind of slow that you want to put it done or stop reading it. No, this is not a book to be bookmarked and placed on a shelf for a later attempt. About 25 or 30% into the book I was on the island with them. I was feeling strong emotions about the plot that was twisting and turning at every page. I now must read the rest of her books! Her style of writing is flowing, seamless, and mysterious. It's romantic, scary, sad, and happy; all rolled into one complete outstanding novel. Please read if you are interested in fantasy and or vampires or werewolves etc. ( thereare all kinds of supernaturals of extreme interest in this book). All I can say, in one word, is POWERFUL! A powerful, outstanding read! Thank you Tempest for the true honor of reading and reviewing your novel. I hope to review more! As always with my reviews, I apologize for any missed typos. I wish I was a writing professional, but I am sadly not.... :)

Fantasy meets Shakespeare! I very much enjoyed this book. I quickly fell in love with the characters as they grew into their own. Some grew more greedy, some more wise, and some more confident. This story has all sorts of creatures big and mostly small! I believe anyone can enjoy it without even knowing that it is a parody on Shakespeare. I personally fell in love with Poulet who was a follower but ended as a leader. There are too many characters to comment on without giving away any spoilers. Read it and enjoy !

Loved it. It was a page turner. I read this quite a bit ago but realized I left a review elsewhere and not here. It is action packed and I hope to read more of this series!
