Biography
From an early age Owen had his heart set on a career in the creative arts. After graduating from university in 1998 he took the bold step of attempting to write and produce his own film scripts. His travels took him first to Sydney then Madrid before finally settling in the film capital of the world, Los Angeles. Unfortunately, outside pressures forced to him to adopt a more conformist path and he followed a successful career in real estate investment, reluctantly shelving his literary ambitions.
After gaining his Masters from Cass Business School he moved to The City of London where his rise through the world of real estate commerce was meteoric, securing a post as a director within a FTSE 250 company before eventually setting up his own International Real Estate Business in 2008. His natural talent for creativity and diversity moved him into the world of high finance and before long he was providing debt packages for major developers and investors.
However he became jaded with the world that he saw. The greed and excesses shocked him and Owen eventually felt revulsion at his own involvement in the affairs. He once more turned to his writing and this time with a deeper story to tell.
Coloured by his experiences, he started work on what was to become the groundbreaking The Mark of Man, a novel that challenges our lassitude and dares to question the cannon of accepted philosophies.
Owen currently lives in Kew, with his wife and two children, and is already writing a companion piece to his debut, which promises to be darker and even more contentious.
