Paul PALUL Rideout
PALUL could be called a Renaissance Man. He has balanced art and science for 74 years. He has worked in laboratories across the country and simultaneously created a body of art work that illustrates his maturation as an artist and a person. His book, VISION-QUEST: A SAGA OF THE SIXTIES (coming soon), shows the complex growth of a young man trying to find himself.
Paul PALUL Rideout is considered a MASTER CERAMIC ARTIST and currently lives in Redding, CA with his wife, Allison and an eighteen-pound cat named Spaz. Besides writing, his interests include art, teaching, chemistry, gardening and philosophy.
Palul: The need to create is a natural instinct for man. I try to find and explore those qualities that have a common human appeal, universal ideas and symbols that transcend time, languages, locations and cultures. I am fortunate to have found a medium (clay) that brings my passions for art and science together. Like the clay itself, I expect my ceramic pieces to last thousands of years.
