Pamela Duncan

Biography

An established poet and former local reporter, Pamela Duncan likes to dabble in most genres of creative writing. She spent seven years studying her chosen craft at classes run by Glasgow University.
Two collections of her poetry, SOUL SEARCH and OCTOBERS SUN were published in 2002 and 2011 respectively and individual poems appear in a number of anthologies. She has also published articles and short stories and written plays and children’s stories
And through affiliation with the Scottish Association of Writers, has won many awards, including trophies and the Association’s Scholarship.
‘On The Swing of One Star’ is Pamela’s first published novel but, in keeping with her claim of being a Jack of All Trades, she has two crime \novels and two children’s novels in the pipeline,
Born in Sussex, Pamela came to Scotland in her teens, where she settled in the Glasgow suburb of Giffock. She served as Writing Representative for East Renfrewshire from its conception in 1993 until its disbandment in 2011. She is a founder member and past president of Eastwood Writers, Giffnock and has been associated with the running of the Words & Music, the popular South Glasgow Performance Club for writers and musicians.
Her other interests include golf, crosswords and her ever expanding family.
