  • The Calling on Oct. 15, 2011

I liked this book, I would put it in an urban fantasy, romance genre. I loved the character development, I really felt like I knew the characters and that we'd been friends for awhile now. It's been a year since Mandy found out she had cancer, she's gone through the treatment and had her breast removed. She's very cautious about "living" and fears that the cancer will come back. Ty has had the hots for her ever since he met her but unfortunately his bestfriend snagged her first. The jerk then dumps her, after he has proposed, because of the cancer. Because of that Mandy cuts off all ties with Ty, not wanting to come between friends. Turns out the jerk slept with one of Mandy's friends not long after dumping her and Ty (such a gentleman) dumps his friend (smart man). That's all I will say so I don't give too much away. :) I really hated that it had to end, it just flowed so well. Definitely one of my faves and I will probably end up reading it again and again.

Not what I was expecting, the cover doesn't look like a 13 yr old. I really liked the story though once I started. It was a fast read that I didn't want to put down. Lilly has grown up in a very sheltered and strict household and doesn't know any different. Her parents seem to never really talk to her and she thinks this is normal. She ends up coming home from school one day to no one home, which never happens. She ends up going to Canada to live with her grandfather that she really didn't know about and meeting her family for the first time. She's welcomed with open arms and experiences what a true family is, love, comfort, and acceptance. I can't really get into much more than that without giving anything away. Awesome story and I can't wait to read the next one.
  • The Kindred Curse Anthology on Oct. 31, 2011

Way too short, but really interesting. Terra Harmony jumps right into the story, just sucks you right in and leaves you wanting for more. I can't wait for the next book.

  • Beckoning Light (The Afterglow Trilogy) on Nov. 08, 2011

Good book. Really get to know the characters and can visualize where they are. I look forward to the next book.
  • Coexist: Keegan's Chronicles on Nov. 23, 2011

Awesome story and awesome storytelling. Julia Crane does a wonderful job of creating believeable characters and having you get to know them. If elves, fairies, and shapeshifters existed it would make this story even more believeable. I really can't wait to read the next book.
  • The Ninja Librarian on April 06, 2012

This was such a cute and funny book. The Ninja Librarian, Tom, comes to Skunk Corners to be the new librarian. The town at first doesn't really want him and makes bets on how long he will stay since everyone tries to make him feel unwelcome. Tom isn't put off by their brash ways and ends up teaching the town quite a few different thing.
  • F***ed Up Fairy Tale News on April 21, 2012

The headlines and stories were hilarious. The actual story was way too short but I can't wait to read the next one.
  • Water on April 25, 2012

Wow, what a ride. This book goes until the very last page, no slowing down at all. A very captivating read, starts on the first page and doesn't let up. I love the characters, very easy to relate to, even evil Shawn (I understood why he's a jerk, but I don't like him). Kaitlyn was awesome. I love the fact that she's mouthy and tough but still at times a girl. She cries, whines, and pouts but also kicks ass. Definitely need the next book.
  • Air on April 28, 2012

Again a cliffhanger. AHHHH!!! And I have to wait for the next one. Harmony has done such a great job with this new world. I can't get enough of it. The read is so engaging that it's over before you even know it. Kaitlyn's strength amazes me, she leans on Micah too much I think but as soon as he leaves she steps up. I look forward to the next book so I can find out who is the father of her baby, and see what other messes she gets into.
  • Sovran's Pawn on May 15, 2012

Very good book. Great character development. Good details, felt real, and was easy to picture what the author was trying to portray. I really enjoyed this book.
  • Howl (Kane Wolves, 1) on May 17, 2012

Rating - 4.5 Wow....really good book. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to read this. A werewolf falls in love with a human, shares her secret, fights bad guys, what more could you want in a book. There were inner struggles, scary moments, sad moments, happy moments, and hard decisions to make. Now the agonizing wait for the next book, argh. I so want to know what happens next.
  • A Demon Made Me Do It (Demonblood Series #1) on May 18, 2012

Wow...a half demon half human cursed so each half is a different personality. Total schizo type thing without the crazy. Very interesting story with great character development. The demon half, Lucky, is trying to find the demons that killed her friends and put the curse on her while the human half, Liora, wants nothing to do with demons and is trying to have a normal life. Liora is unable to participate in anything but school since during the day she is the human and during the night she is the demon, makes for a very lonely existence. Lucky is having problems dealing with the human emotions that are leaking through from Liora so she is also feeling very much alone. That is until Kieron shows up (sigh). Lucky cracks me up, she wants to be wanted but be the only one wanted so she seems to get jealous knowing that Liora is getting attention. They are pretty much the same person except their personalities, which is what makes it funny, and they don't like each other very much. It's so easy to relate to since so many of us don't like certain things about ourselves.
  • The Cat's Fancy - Protector (Superhero Series) on May 19, 2012

Rating - 4.5 Awesome story. Maggie is Nick's cat, has been for 3 years, and she has fallen in love with him. She's given about a week to get Nick to fall in love with her but she's only human during the night and she can't tell him that she's his cat. The characters were great, I loved Nick's sister Deena and his best friend Hoop who are helping Maggie get Nick even though they think she lost her memory and only knows that she loves Nick. It was cute and funny. Great read!
  • Fire with Fire (Demonblood Series #2) on May 25, 2012

That was awesome!! I'm so in love with this series and hate the fact that I have to wait for the next book. I don't want to give anything away but poor Bones, I hope we find out more about the reincarnation and how they keep finding each other. I also hope that Tatiana shows up again, I really liked her and man is she powerful. I loved how Liora "saves" Corrine, I think that was almost the best part. I can't really say what the best part is, the whole book was just awesome, so full of "what's gonna happen next" and "weird" and "OMG" and "Oh no" (sniff). I hated that it had to end, I want more!!!
  • Day Soldiers on July 07, 2012

That was amazing. I could so picture it as a movie and would definitely go see it. I loved the adventure and action and suspense. I'm so glad Hale was willing to share this book for reviews and that I didn't miss out. Action packed right from the start with great characters, I had to force myself to put it down just to go to bed and then it took me awhile to fall asleep because I was still thinking about it. As soon as I got up I had to finish it, I had to know what was going to happen. I knew to an extent what the ending was going to be, I was somewhat wrong but not disappointed. If you love UF then you will love this book.
  • Legacy on July 30, 2012

Rating - 4.5 I received this book to review and once I realized that it was the third book in the series I bought the other two (I'm kinda anal like that). I have really enjoyed this series and I hope there are more books. I love the characters and would love to "hang" with them some more. Ceri is very powerful but humble and kicks ass, whereas Lily is a half succubus and not so humble but she hates her demon side. Twill is a fairy that takes care of the "Haunted House" that they live in, it's enchanted with an illusion to look haunted and I so want to live there. I do suggest that you read the first two books before this one just to understand some of the references but it isn't necessary.
  • Dark Light of Mine on Aug. 20, 2012

Rating - 4.5 This series is awesome. A definite must read. Beautifully written with lots of action and just enough mystery to keep you guessing.
  • Stone Lover on Oct. 25, 2012

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great, the emotion was so real. I hope there is another book to follow Rhys and Jenna's story. I loved the mystery. Although an explanation as to why Melanie could see what other humans couldn't would've been nice, or why the imps were attacking her. But other than that it was a really good book.
  • Secret Seduction on Nov. 01, 2013

I got this book as a read to review I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great with just enough suspense and romance to make it a page turner. Katie takes off to backpack though Europe when she finds out her mom has another husband and her father isn't who she thought he was. Now she's on the run from someone trying to kidnap her with her best friend that she's been in love with for years. I look forward to reading the next book and hope to find out why someone wants her out of the picture. The person doesn't seem to want her dead but I'm curious as to why the person feels threatened by Katie
