R. M. de Loera nació en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Por 8 años vivió con su esposo e hijos en la Ciudad de México. Los lugares que visitó mientras vivía en México son su inspiración.
En su tiempo libre le gusta cocinar, especialmente postres y panes... en el momento en que se bloquea, toma un libro. Como lectora es la peor de todas porque siempre lee el final del libro, antes de siquiera leer el título.

What are you working on next?
Ahora estoy trabajando en un romance contemporáneo. Quiero saber si se puede tener un segundo gran amor y los personajes me están contando su historia.

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Mis hijos... verlos sonreír cuando despiertan.
