  • Equites : Book 4 of the Heku Series on Nov. 25, 2011

I discovered the first three of this series in obooko, and was delighted to discover the continuing saga was available through smashwords. I found the books were compelling reading, and even though there was a certain predictability about the story lines, there was enough versatility to engage the reader to the end. I really enjoyed the way the author presented the Heku, as I do not usually go for "vampire" stories. This was a different perspective and the characterizations were excellent. The subtleties of character and culture were interesting, and continuity was very good.
  • Feathered on Nov. 25, 2011

A very enjoyable read, with a good story line and interesting characters.
  • Arched Wings on Nov. 25, 2011

A good follow on from feathered. I will look forward to reading the final book.
  • Ancients and Old Ones : Book 8 of the Heku Series on Nov. 25, 2011

I have completed reading the series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do not think another book is necessarily a good idea for Emily as there was definite closure in this book. However a different set of Heku or time etc might be interesting. The story line needs to be developed more if so to ensure repetition is kept to a minimum.
  • Victory: The Fifth Book of The Fey on March 30, 2012

Having read the first of the series a few years ago it was great to find the full set on smash words. These are really well written books that can be read over again with pleasure. The final book has a satisfying end that is not as predictable as I thought it might be.

  • Perilous Shadows: Book 6 Circles of Light on June 03, 2012

Well I really did not think we were going to reach a conclusion as the intricacies of the plot were such that there seemed scope to just keep going. A really good finale with I hope a subsequent series to be written?? There are just so many stories that can emerge from these characters and places. Keep on writing I will definitely buy the books.

Sassy, saucy and intelligent. Fun read, lots of activity and good storyline. Each story links but can be read individually.
  • The Seer Trilogy Bundle on June 11, 2013

A really enjoyable trilogy, good storyline that has left room for more development if the author fancies a follow on series. Characters believable and you do have the "got to read the next one" impulse as you go through. Enjoy.
