Patti Roberts
Biography
I love the Medieval/fantasy genre so on any given day you can usually find me sitting at my desk in front of my laptop pounding away at the keys writing another chapter in the Paradox series of supporting indie authors. I also design book covers for Authors - That would be a run of the mill kinda day for me! Bringing fantasy worlds - the Ancient and the new to life...
A packet of Cruskits and a cup of green tea, that is now at room temperature, is sitting on the desk beside me. There is also a mass of USB cables, my kindle, notepads, bills to be paid, bills to be filed and a printer that is forever running out of ink. Sound familiar?
In front of me, apart from the obvious laptop (Acer), are three cork boards featuring pin ups of my characters faces and characteristics including eye colour, hair colour, age, height, ability....etc etc.
On most days I have to remind myself to eat and drink. I Should be thinner!!!

- A Job From Hell (Ancient Legends Book 1)
on May 12, 2011
(no rating)
The first thing that attracted me to the great book was the cover! Then the fabulous book trailer. Well I just had to read it. Although, you know what they say, you can’t judge a book by its cover. To bad, I did!
And I was not disappointed. It was a well paced story with lots of diverse characters milling around capturing your attention at every turn.
If you like paranormal romance, vampires, Angels, Demons - the whole motley crew…. Then this in a story you will really enjoy reading.
It has been written with YA readers in mind. And I would have no problems recommending it in this category for readers that are itching to get their teeth into a juicy read... This is the one for you!
Great job Jayde Scott – looking forward to your next instalment (Book 2, BEELZEBUB GIRL, that is being released on June 1st, 2011).

- Beelzebub Girl (Ancient Legends Book 2)
on July 15, 2011
I received a copy of this book from the Author to review and I was not dissapointed!
Scott does it again. A fun read with lots of vibrant characters to entertain the reader from start to finish. Highly recommend to all YA readers that enjoy paranormal themes. Although this is a stand alone book, it is the second installment in the series. Book one - A Job From Hell, was also very much worth the read. So, if you are thinking about reading Beelzebub Girl, do yourself a favour and grab book one, A Job From Hell, as well.
- Raven

Raven is Suzy Turner’s first novel in the series, and I found it to be an entertaining read to say the least. I read it over the entire weekend and loved it. The story is about a young girl, Lillian Taylor, who comes home from school one day to discover that her parents have gone missing. This is when Lillian is thrown into her new life in a strange world. She embarks on an incredible journey and slowly begins to unravel the daunting mystery behind who she really is. She constantly struggles to fit into this changing new world around her. There are a few surprises, and they aren’t always nice. This story will appeal to anyone who enjoys the YA fantasy genre. At 99c, you can't go wrong. This book ticks all the right boxes for an enjoyable read. And when the story comes to an end, you’ll be looking for the next book in the series, December Moon - which is due for release very soon I believe - I checked on Suzy's web page.
- How I Sold 1 Million eBooks in 5 Months
on Oct. 29, 2011
Great value! For the minimal cost of this book, if you are an independent publisher or are thinking about becoming one, then this book is worth every cent and more. Sure, John Locke could have said it in a few less words, but I for one am glad he didn't. I actually read it twice… I thoroughly enjoyed the read AND learnt a ton valuable information at the same time – most of which I will definitely put into practice. It was comforting to read about someone else's trials and tribulations in the self-publishing world. To know that at the end of the day, all the hard work was worth it. Read the book, you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain… I give it 5 stars for value.
- Tomorrows Child
on Feb. 06, 2012
The Author, Starr West has a way with words. After reading the Hunger Games trilogy I wanted to read something in a similar vein - a damaged world fighting for survival...and I found it with "Tomorrows Child".
I started reading this story about Seventeen year old, Psyche and didn't want to stop. I like the paranormal too so that really works for me too.
This is a very well written book with a captivating storyline based in a dystopian world on the verge of total destruction. Only a few survive....
Give it a go, I think you will agree.

I don't want to give anything away, however I will say that I really enjoyed the pace and the writing style of this novel. The author writes believable plots and characters - I felt Nick's pain and anguish though out the entirety of the story. Lots of twists and turns right up to the great ending - now I have to wait for the sequel to find out what happens next... With any luck, I wont have to wait too long to more about Nick Hunter!
