I have always loved to write. My third grade teacher read my very first short story to my classmates. In it, I had a head tumbling down a staircase. I’ve always had a thing for the rough stuff.
Over the years I continued writing. I’ve written an epic novel over a thousand pages long about a group of young friends, carrying their lives through their childhood years before the Civil War to the war itself, dragging them from there into the following Indian wars in the American West. I finished it years ago and decided that big book would be a hard first sell (and dreaded the selling process).
So I wrote DEFINITIONS, figuring I’d publish it and use it as a jumping board for my first book. Then I thought, what the heck, why not have two Kenyon Baker books in the mix. You know, the more the merrier. Therefore, I wrote a second Kent Baker adventure. It’s called SCAVENGERS and is in the editing stage.
Unlike my characters, I have a problem pulling the trigger.
But now it’s been made easy for me by SMASHWORDS and I decided to put DEFINITIONS out there for your reading. Down the road, the other two books will be coming.
That is my story and the story of DEFINITIONS.
My own more important story is that I’m a happily married man with a big family, including a daughter, a son, three grandchildren, mother, son-in-law, brothers and sisters (and their spouses), and a basketful of nieces and nephews. Life is great.
I sincerely hope you find my novel enjoyable. I believe you will.
Be on the lookout for Kent Baker adventure number two.
