P. Carol Jones is a freelance writer/editor and author of "Toward College Success: Is Your Teenager Ready, Willing, and Able?"
What prompted you to write a book about how to be successful in college?
The first edition of my book was co-written. My co-author, the late Patricia Wilkins-Wells, came up with the idea after being frustrated with students in her college classes that did not have the academic or life skills to be successful in college.
How did you get involved in the writing this book.
My late co-author asked me to join her in writing the book because of my writing and editing background, and because, at the time, I worked as a writing coach with secondary students in our local school district.
"Toward College Success: Is Your Teenager Ready, Willing, and Able?" will help parents of middle and high school students evaluate and prepare their sons and daughters for a successful college experience, or help them realize that something other than college right after high school is the better path for their child.
