Publisher info

Born in San Francisco in 1944, I grew up in Oakland and attended UC Berkeley and UW Madison. I resisted the draft during the Vietnam War and went to jail for civil rights sit-ins in San Francisco. After getting my Ph.D. in 1978 I taught for a brief period and then went into carpentry. I retired from the trades this year and have turned to Publishing on the internet through Estuary Press which I founded to archive the films my father, Harvey Richards, made during the 1960s. I am father of two and grandfather of five and live in Oakland, California.
