Michael Strickland was born in Mayport Florida. He has been in the restaurant business most of his adult life, operating the locally famous Strickland seafood chain. Michael lives in Jacksonville and is presently spending more time on his writing. Besides The Red Cotton Fields, Michal has recently published a second ebook titled The Crippled Pelican, a mystery story that was nearly made into a major motion picture sometime back.
