THE INSIGNIFICANCE OF BEING A SPY Might also have been called “When Spies Fall In Love.” The title comes from the necessity of a spy to appear as insignificant as possible so no one will notice him. But strong emotions, not to mention lust, have a way of being noticed. The action takes place in England, just weeks before the Battle of Waterloo. Everyone in the book seems to be a spy. There are spies from every nation plus a beautiful spy who works for herself. There’s plenty of lust, sex and strong emotions in this book. It’s a good read. The author has a wonderful way of implying the 19th century manner of speech and a realistic grasp of the fact that men will be men and women will be woman, no matter what century they live in.
