Letter Of Love
on Oct. 20, 2011
Though I’ve heard of Virginia Henley, I haven’t read anything by her yet. So I wasn’t sure what to expect before I started this novella. But, honestly, I thought it was quite nice and was a good introduction to her writing, which I liked too. But being a novella, I felt that the story was hopping in time and the main characters and their relationship weren’t given enough time to develop well. Overall a good read, worth a try. I thought, if it was a full novel and if Burgundy and Nicholas’s relationship was shown in depth and a few questions that arised in my mind were answered, I might’ve rated it a 4 stars because I just LOVED their banters, even their fights. 3.5 stars. I believe I’ll try some of VH’s other books in the near future.
The Beast in the Mirror
on Jan. 17, 2012
Sweet book, I liked it a lot. Wish it was a full lengh novel with more insights of Rose and Christopher's budding relationship and I would give it a higher rating. For a free book, I think my 20 mins was wworth it. :)

I totally loved it! In a free short story like this (of about 52 pages with 18 short chapters), the author gave me much more than I could’ve hoped for. It had a plot, a great storytelling. It was full of intense scenes filled with emotion. The sexual tension between Bastien and Lysette was so great and I was frustrated in the end that there wasn’t any love scene. This should’ve been a full-length novel with loads of love scenes!
Just sayin’! lol

Interesting. I loved it!

This book was fun with an interesting turn. It did surprise me! lol I love Eva Gale's writing style.
The Seduction of Gabriel Stewart

Another sexy one. I love how well she writes about married couple... So far, 3 out of 3 for Ms. Gale!
An Absolutely Incredible Valentine
on March 09, 2012
3.5 stars. The starting of the book was interesting but just didn't work out for me in the end. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the H and h that much. Maybe I envisioned the story in a different vein and was disappointed. The hero, Trevor was nice though.
Friday Nights

3.75 stars. Now this one I wanted to continue for a while. I really wanted the exploration of Court and Lacey's relationship because even though he was a womanizer, he interested me. I would definitely rate it higher if I had a few more chapters. A good, short read.
Inked

3 stars. Not bad, just not much of a story to rate it higher. Another review (also rated it 3 stars) already gave a good briefing so I don't think I have anything new to add.
Thief of Souls
on March 24, 2012
4.5 stars... Overall, it had a great twist on the regular vampire theme. The hero, Nick, was a compelling character, to say the least. Regina was smart... Even though I really liked the book, I had my moments of doubts and oddness throughout. I didn't know how a man like Nick would redeem himself. But thankfully, Ms. Wicklund saw to that and I couldn't help but fall for Nick. Her writing was great as usual.
A Rough Wooing
on April 14, 2012
3 stars. VH's writing was great as usual but had trouble with all the historical narratives crammed in such a short story. I also had a bit trouble with the characters, at first I couldn't tell who's who. But when I was getting comfortable with it all, the heroine Douglas's activities annoyed the hell outta me. She is a big reason I'm not rating this book higher. I liked the hero Lance a lot. He was sexy. :)
Unspoken Promises (Intro to Western Escape)
on May 17, 2012
3.25 stars. It was all quite good and I was loving it until the end, where I didn't think Treynor's explanation over the misunderstanding was good enough. I did, however, liked the main couple and hoped that it was a full novel. This is my first read by Becca Dale, loved her writing style and will keep my eyes open for some of her other books. Good short, free story.
Phantom Lovers
on June 02, 2012
3.75 stars. Even though I'm not into menage of any kind or MM, the storyline of this book really intrigued me. I'm not disappointed that I read it because I liked the author's writing style... Can't say 'no' to two hot men lol. But I felt, it being a novella, everything was rushed along. I just needed a little more development in the relationship before John, Lynsay and William got into the 'action' and professed their love to each-other. The ending twist was nice though. :)
A Wedding Story
on June 29, 2012
4 stars. OMG but this novella was seriously good. My first try of Ms. Tenorio is a winner TBH. It was fun and so hilarious, I just about died laughing from Ruth Anne and Bobby's activities and dialogues. Other characters were just as much fun. It would be a perfect book, if only I had a few more chapters and love scenes to go with it. Anyway, I'm just happy to have read this. Definitely looking forward to Ms. Tenorio's other books. :D

2.5 stars. Too confusing and utterly frustrating at times. Sad, because I was initially very intrigued by the storyline.
The Earl and the Governess: An Erotic Romance
on Oct. 06, 2013
4 stars. Even though the last couple of chapters were a bit confusing, overall I enjoyed this story very much. If you're looking for something thoroughly naughty and want to read a story about real rakes, you're in for a treat! I also loved the author's writing style and will be checking out more of her books.
The Captive Pirate
on Oct. 10, 2013
4.25 stars. VERY good pirate story. REALLY enjoyed it. It would be a treat to see this story expanded with more details and backstory... also, a few more installments. I'd definitely want to check out more of Tom and Joshua. ;)
The Palace Guard
on Oct. 24, 2013
Almost made it 4 stars for me. If some things didn't bug me quite a bit and if the ending was a bit more fleshed out (as the other review points out), I would rate it higher. I still wish this was longer because I wanted more.
Keep up the good work Ms. Author. :)
Claiming the Duchess (Fitzhugh Trilogy Book 0.5)
on April 17, 2014
A beautiful, albeit very short, story dedicated to Clarissa, the adoring step-mother to Christian, the hero of Beguiling the Beauty (book 1 of Fitzhugh Trilogy). You get a glimpse of the past- her bad marriage to the deceased Duke of Lexington and how she came to know the love of her life, Mr. James Kingston.
Sherry Thomas's writing is exceptional as usual and she made me crave more of this couple. I certainly wouldn't have minded a few more chapters. Actually, that's my only complaint, the length of this novella.
Recommended. Better if you pick up the series afterwards to know more about Clarissa and Christian.
The Escort
on Oct. 24, 2014
Really enjoyed The Escort! The story is short, almost as it is told in the blurb, however the you'll miss the overall sweetness of it unless you read it. Court was kinda dreamy.... Yes, there were times I had to question certain situations but those didn't hinder my enjoyment. It's a short story but the ending was neatly wrapped. Now I want to know if there'd be more installments or not.
If you're turned off by shy, virgin heroines in a contemporary romance, then I'd rather you don't read this one. Otherwise, recommended.
Jenna in the Midwest
on May 09, 2015
All I can say is that if you want something quick and dirty, this might be up your ally. Jenna's journey has only just begun! ;)
I love Alison Shaw's writing, and her sex scenes are almost always HOT!
(still waiting on a follow up on The Earl and the Governess, please dear author)
Jenna's Grand Tour
on May 28, 2015
Jenna's 'journey' continues thru Europe... if only her photographer Sean didn't make her want to become monogamous! Imagine that!
