Though I’ve heard of Virginia Henley, I haven’t read anything by her yet. So I wasn’t sure what to expect before I started this novella. But, honestly, I thought it was quite nice and was a good introduction to her writing, which I liked too. But being a novella, I felt that the story was hopping in time and the main characters and their relationship weren’t given enough time to develop well. Overall a good read, worth a try. I thought, if it was a full novel and if Burgundy and Nicholas’s relationship was shown in depth and a few questions that arised in my mind were answered, I might’ve rated it a 4 stars because I just LOVED their banters, even their fights. 3.5 stars. I believe I’ll try some of VH’s other books in the near future.

Ok Ms. author, why the hell this isn't a full novel? WHY????????? I wanted more. MORE of this story. I LOVED IT. Grr!

Sweet book, I liked it a lot. Wish it was a full lengh novel with more insights of Rose and Christopher's budding relationship and I would give it a higher rating. For a free book, I think my 20 mins was wworth it. :)

I totally loved it! In a free short story like this (of about 52 pages with 18 short chapters), the author gave me much more than I could’ve hoped for. It had a plot, a great storytelling. It was full of intense scenes filled with emotion. The sexual tension between Bastien and Lysette was so great and I was frustrated in the end that there wasn’t any love scene. This should’ve been a full-length novel with loads of love scenes! Just sayin’! lol

This book was fun with an interesting turn. It did surprise me! lol I love Eva Gale's writing style.

Another sexy one. I love how well she writes about married couple... So far, 3 out of 3 for Ms. Gale!

Oh good God! I'm not sure what to rate it but 3 stars just because I admire the whole atmosphere of horror the author created. Other than that, if I knew what's inside it, I would never read it. Yep, the blurb fooled me!

4.5 stars... Ah-meh-zing book! I'm a huge Bonnie Dee fan and she didn't disappoint. Even though Jen and Drake's meetings were few, I was convinced by the end that these two are heading towards a great future. My only complaint, a full novel (with some hot hot lovin' ;) ) would've made me a happy clam! Perfect V.day read for me! :D

3.5 stars. The starting of the book was interesting but just didn't work out for me in the end. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the H and h that much. Maybe I envisioned the story in a different vein and was disappointed. The hero, Trevor was nice though.

3.75 stars. Now this one I wanted to continue for a while. I really wanted the exploration of Court and Lacey's relationship because even though he was a womanizer, he interested me. I would definitely rate it higher if I had a few more chapters. A good, short read.

3 stars. Not bad, just not much of a story to rate it higher. Another review (also rated it 3 stars) already gave a good briefing so I don't think I have anything new to add.

4.5 stars... Overall, it had a great twist on the regular vampire theme. The hero, Nick, was a compelling character, to say the least. Regina was smart... Even though I really liked the book, I had my moments of doubts and oddness throughout. I didn't know how a man like Nick would redeem himself. But thankfully, Ms. Wicklund saw to that and I couldn't help but fall for Nick. Her writing was great as usual.

3 stars. VH's writing was great as usual but had trouble with all the historical narratives crammed in such a short story. I also had a bit trouble with the characters, at first I couldn't tell who's who. But when I was getting comfortable with it all, the heroine Douglas's activities annoyed the hell outta me. She is a big reason I'm not rating this book higher. I liked the hero Lance a lot. He was sexy. :)

3.75 stars. Lori Brighton was a new-to-me author when I read this anthology a few months back. I really liked her writing style. Story #1, The Art of Seduction, which took place in just about one night, was my least favorite. But, story #2, Meant for Me, was really good! I wanted this to continue, would've loved to read a full novel. You can get the gist of both stories from the 1st review so there isn't much to say for me, but that this won't be my last book by the author. :)
  • Unspoken Promises on May 17, 2012

3.25 stars. It was all quite good and I was loving it until the end, where I didn't think Treynor's explanation over the misunderstanding was good enough. I did, however, liked the main couple and hoped that it was a full novel. This is my first read by Becca Dale, loved her writing style and will keep my eyes open for some of her other books. Good short, free story.
  • Moonlight on May 23, 2012

3.5 stars. This was a recollection of a long ago event. The moonlight plays a vital role as the narrator keeps comparing with the unearthly beauty of the moon to their love making. Even at one point, Jessica (the girlfriend) remarks on that too. In the narrative (which was from the 1st person POV), the narrator also talks about that particular incident and then compares all of those with his life experiences (sex life) and makes comments. Why he was so obsessed with moonlight, the whole point of it might’ve slipped my understanding. Maybe if it was a full novel with more explorations and insights, I would get it. The sex was hot without a doubt. :)

3.75 stars. Even though I'm not into menage of any kind or MM, the storyline of this book really intrigued me. I'm not disappointed that I read it because I liked the author's writing style... Can't say 'no' to two hot men lol. But I felt, it being a novella, everything was rushed along. I just needed a little more development in the relationship before John, Lynsay and William got into the 'action' and professed their love to each-other. The ending twist was nice though. :)
