I really wanted to like this book. After reading the synopsis it sounded great and I thought I'd give it a try even after I'd already gotten over that whole Vampire craze. But I've got to say I should have just stayed away. The idea of the book was great but from the very first few pages I knew I would hate this book. The formatting wasn't very good, and there was so many spelling mistakes. And I just thought most of the characters were, well... annoying. The main character Andrea was pretty cute and bubbly, but she seemed a little too Mary Sue for my liking.

I have got to say I have never read a book quite like this. The plot was very original and it was easy to sink into it. Meghan Elam, the main character is very realistic which makes the story to be much more believable, her friends to be intriguing to the story. The love interest, Cade MacRoich and Meghan have a dynamic connection as he teachers her the ways of the Otherworld. It did get a little slow at some points in the book particularly when Meghan was waiting for Cade to get back fromm the Otherworld. I am hoping that this book sets up for more action in the future books! All in all it was a fantastic first book for the trilogy.
