Dale Renton

Born in Scotland, John Dale Renton came to Australia as a school boy and has (mostly) lived and worked here since. Dale completed an Arts Degree at Monash University, paying his way with part time jobs as a cook, a shot blast machine operator and a barman. He has since taught English and French in Germany, and French and English in Australia. Nowadays, Dale manages an IT development group for a government agency. His love of speculative fiction has been a lifelong constant, leading him to eventually deliver on his grade five teacher’s prediction that one day he’d write a novel (if only he could avoid split infinitives). Dale lives in Melbourne with his wife, two children and two large, hairy dogs.
