D. A. Karr spent most of her childhood as a typical California youngster except she started drawing pictures, painting, and riding horses. Soon after, the need for self expression took over and a writing career began paralleling technical writing. The first book, “The Racehorse with Magic Shoes” was the pilot book for other books and stories.
For the next two years, she bumped up to historical fiction, “The Legend of Pendyne” which won two literary awards. After spreading out to more humanistic issues and short stories, she penned her first sci-fi screen script and book, “Link” in the shadow of the greats, Spielberg and Cameron. Then after several short stories to build a collection, the new mystery thriller, "The House on Park Place" emerged.
Now, "Hurricane" is being produced as a major full feature film in Canada. "Link" is being transformed into a book and ebook due for release in December. "The Legend of Pendyne" is com ing back and is now an airbook on airlines and an audio book.

The Racehorse with Magic Shoes
A young Thoroughbred colt begins his journey to be a jumper instead of a racehorse he was born to be. He meets a girl named Kate and they face many obstacles, but his courage makes him a champion.
The Legend of Pendyne
Irish tradition clashes against British law in the 17th century. An old Irish knight had seen his share of war. Then Pendyne, the King’s battle horse, disappeared. "The Legend of Pendyne" is a haunting tale of change and choice.
