Richard Walker grew up in Liverpool and then spent ten years travelling the world including sailing a 25 foot sail boat from San Diego to Auckland. He then trained at Webber Douglas in London before working as an actor.
In 2005 he wrote and performed a one-man show about the Iraq War. The Racket was inspired largely by the words of Major General Smedley Butler’s speech to the US Senate and his subsequent book War is a Racket.
A powerful and truly original look at why we still make war, accept poverty, trash our living space and owe so much money. This neat little book that says it all.
