Rich Meyer

Biography

Rich Meyer wastes a lot of time reading comic books, reference books, and a lot of Doc Savage pulps on his Kindle. In between books, he can be found listening to Bob & Ray, the Frantics, Frank Zappa, Blue Öyster Cult, Rush, Rammstein and the Tubes, or watching classic television and weird movies. He also manages to actually play trivia occasionally.

Rich is also a regular contributor to IndiesUnlimited.com, the source for information for independent writing and self-publishing.

Rich is a member of the Old Time Radio Researchers Group, the National Lum and Abner Society, and a trivia team called the Collective Foole (for the World’s Largest Trivia Contest).

Rich lives in Saint Clair, Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife Mona and their canine children Emiko and Montagoon, and their feline children Pippin, Cleocatara, Luli-Belle, Maxwell “Bang-Bang” Doodle, Liam-Loki and Ruby Doo.

Rich used to tie a towel around his neck and pretend he was Hawkman. He hasn’t been doing that as much lately, mainly because his cats look at him funny.

Not a bad little story. The cover kind of telegraphed the ending a bit, but Ms. Boris produced a well-written little vignette of a couple trying to stay together. Very realistic characterizations.

Excellent short story from Phil Frey. I hadn't thought of it before seeing the other reviews but, yes, this could easily be an episode of the Twilight Zone, or a less-murderous episode of Tales from the Darkside. I found the tale to be very enjoyable, well-written and with some excellent characterization. The three pseudo-antagonists in the tale are handled quite well. Everyone has a personality that is believable. This one is definitely worth a read!
