R.J. Hamilton

Biography

I am originally from Minnesota. After high school, I joined the United States Army as an Infantryman. I was deployed 4 times, twice to Bosnia and twice to Iraq. I ended my military career after 12 years of service to my country. I now live in Topeka, Kansas and attend Washburn University as an English Creative Writing major graduating in 2013.

I am the author of "Self Convictions," "Self consciousness," "Self Conclusions," "Self Consequences," (in that order) "Dark Solo," "And the Hand of God," "Because It Feels Good," "A Personal Hell: Don't Ask, Don't Tell," & "Dissecting Sean Connor."

I started writing in the area of Young Adult Literature recently with "Dissecting Sean Connor." The book was written to help teens with the issues of bullying and identity, particularly when it comes to their sexuality. Often times these things go unnoticed or ignored and "Dissecting Sean Connor" deals with the issues that so many young adults don't think they can talk about.
